爱沙尼亚爱乐合唱团
爱沙尼亚爱乐合唱团是爱沙尼亚名闻世界的音乐团体之一。1981年，托努·卡柳斯特创办该合唱团并担任艺术总监及首席指挥达二十年之久。2001年至2007年期间，这一职位由英国音乐家保罗·希利尔接任。2008年至2013年间，乐团的艺术总监及首席指挥是丹尼尔·罗伊斯。2014年9月至今，首席指挥由卡斯帕斯·普特宁斯担任。

塔林室内乐团
塔林室内乐团由指挥家托努·卡尤斯特于1993年创办。乐团前身系由尤里·格莱茨教授于1989年建立的塔林音乐学院学生乐团。托努·卡尤斯特将该乐团的核心部分发展成为一个专业的室内乐团，而且经常有来自爱沙尼亚国家交响乐团和爱沙尼亚国家歌剧团的管乐高手助兴，参与该团的音乐演出。

里斯托·约斯特，指挥
无论是在歌剧领域还是在音乐会舞台上，里斯托·约斯特都得到了广泛的认可。他的曲目既有巴洛克时期的音乐作品，也包括当代作曲家极富挑战的作品。从2009年起，里斯托·约斯特一直担任爱沙尼亚国家歌剧团的指挥，并且在2011-2012这一音乐季为荷兰室内合唱团担任指挥。自2013年秋季，里斯托·约斯特同时担任塔林室内乐团指挥。

Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir
Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC) is one of the best-known Estonian music groups in the world. EPCC was founded by Tõnu Kaljuste in 1981, who was the artistic director and chief conductor for twenty years. In 2001-2007, the English musician Paul Hillier took over; between the years 2008-2013 the artistic director and chief conductor was Daniel Reuss. Since September 2014 the chief conductor is Kaspars Putniņš.
The repertoire of the choir extends from Gregorian chant and baroque to the music of the 21th century, ever special focus on the work of Estonian composers (Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis, Erkki-Sven Tüür, Galina Grigoryeva, Toivo Tulev, Tõnu Kõrvits, Helena Tulve) and introducing it to the world. Each season the choir gives about 60-70 concerts in Estonia and abroad.
EPCC has cooperated with a number of outstanding conductors and orchestras - Claudio Abbado, Helmuth Rilling, Eric Ericson, Ward Swingle, Neeme Järvi, Paavo Järvi, Nikolai Alekseyev, Olari Elts, Andrew Lawrence-King, Roland Böer, Frieder Bernius, Stephen Layton, Marc Minkowski, Christoph Poppen, Sir Colin Davis, Louis Langree, Paul McCreesh, Andrés Orozco-Estrada; with Norwegian, Australian, Lithuanian, Prague and Stuttgart Chamber Orchestras, London Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Berlin Rundfunk Orchestra, Concerto Copenhagen, Concerto Palatino, Salzburg Camerata, Les Musiciens du Louvre-Grenoble, Frankfurt Radio SO, Basel Chamber Orchestra and with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.
EPCC has been a welcome guest at numerous music festivals and outstanding venues all over the world, for instance at BBC Proms, Mozartwoche, Abu Gosh Music Festival, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Moscow Easter Festival, Musikfest Bremen, Salzburg Festspiele, Edinburgh International Festival, Festival Aix-en-Provence, International Cervantino Festival, Vale of Glamorgan, Bergen International Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Sydney Opera House, Wiener Konzerthaus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Esplanade in Singapore, Kennedy Center in Washington, Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Museum and Lincoln Center in New York etc.
Another important aspect in the choir's life is recording music (for ECM, Virgin Classics, Carus, Harmonia Mundi, Ondine), resulting in award-winning CDs. EPCC recordings have won twice GRAMMY-Award for Best Choral Performance: in 2007 for the album Arvo Pärt. Da Pacem with the conductor Paul Hillier (Harmonia Mundi) and in 2014 Arvo Pärt. Adam's Lament with the conductor Tõnu Kaljuste (ECM). All in all, the choir has 14 Grammy nominations with the works by Arvo Pärt, Erkki-Sven Tüür and the music of Nordic countries. EPCC recordings have won also the award Diapason d'or, Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, Danish Music Award etc.
Tallinn Chamber Orchestra
Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (TCO) was founded in 1993 by conductor Tõnu Kaljuste. The predecessor of the orchestra was a string orchestra founded by prof. Jüri Gerretz in 1989 from students of the Tallinn Conservatoire. From the core of this student orchestra Tõnu Kaljuste formed a professional chamber orchestra. Though it is a string orchestra the best wind players from the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and the Estonian National Opera participate regularly in the work of TCO.
Particularly in the early years the activity of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra was very tightly connected with the work of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and mutual concerts brought much international recognition to both groups. In 1993 a CD with Arvo Pärt's „Te Deum" was released by ECM and this recording was for one year in the top of several disc rankings and was much praised by important music critics. Later several important records were released by ECM: Erkki-Sven Tüür's „Crystallisatio", Arvo Pärt's „Litany", "In Principio" and „Adam's Lament", Heino Eller's „Neenia" and others. The Tallinn Chamber Orchestra has also recorded for Warner Music / Finlandia Records, Carus Verlag, etc.
From 1993-1995 and 1996-2001 the chief conductor of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra was Tõnu Kaljuste. Very important figure for TCO has been Finnish conductor Juha Kangas who was the chief conductor 1995-1996 and the artistic advisor 2001-2003. During later years the activities of TCO have been supervised by the Artistic Director of the Tallinn Philharmonic Society Eri Klas. From September 2013 the chief conductor of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra is Risto Joost.
The Tallinn Chamber Orchestra has performed at many prestigious music festivals: Festival of Bach Cantatas in Milan (1996, 1997), Bremen Music Festival (1998), Settembre Musica in Turin (2004), Budapest Autumn Festival (2005), Kaustinen Chamber Music Week (2005), Bergamo and Brescia Festival Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (2007), Festival Musiikkia (Rouvesi, 2012), Festival Cervantino (2012), Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (2013). TCO has been touring in the US, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and in most of the European countries.
Besides the conductors mentioned above the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra has been conducted by John Storgårds, Pietari Inkinen, Okko Kamu and Jaakko Kuusisto from Finland, Richard Tognetti from Australia, Terje Tonnesen from Norway, Valentin Zhuk and Daniel Raiskin from Holland, Samuel Wong from Canada, Dmitri Sitkovetski from the UK and, of course, Estonian conductors like Eri Klas, Olari Elts, Paul Mägi, Arvo Volmer, Kristjan Järvi, others.
Risto Joost, principal conductor
Risto Joost has gained widespread recognition for his work both in the opera pit and on the concert platform. His repertoire ranges from the compositions of Baroque composers to the most challenging works of contemporary composers. Risto Joost is a conductor of the Estonian NationalOpera since 2009, the chief conductor of the NetherlandsChamber Choir since the season 2011/12 and the chief conductor of the Tallinn ChamberOrchestra from autumn 2013.
Since the year 2000, Risto Joost has regularly participated in the Estonian MusicDays and Nyyd Festival, conducting numerous première performances from chamber music to oratorical works by such composers as Toivo Tulev, Helena Tulve, Ülo Krigul and others. He has conducted both Estonian and foreign orchestras, includingthe Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, MacauOrchestra, Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, theNetherlandsChamberOrchestra, BelgiumBaroqueOrchestra B-Rock etc., and has also been the conductor of a number of internationally recognized choirs, such as the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, RIAS ChamberChoir (Berlin), the Swedish Radio Choir, theStateChoirLatvia, Ars Nova Copenhagen, etc.
His repertoire at the Estonian National Opera includesoperas, such as Puccini's "La bohème", Bizet's "Carmen", Verdi's "La traviata", Bellini's "I Capuletti e i Montecchi", "Wallenberg" by Erkki-Sven Tüür and ballets "Swan Lake" and "TheNutcracker" byTchaikovsky, Mac Millan's Manon, "Modigliani - theCursed Artist" byEdur/Aintsetc.
In 2011, Risto Joost awarded the Young Cultural Figure Award of the Estonian Republic and in 2012 the 2nd Prize at the 5th International Jorma PanulaConductingCompetition, Vaasa, Finland.
Risto Joost has studied singing as well as choral and orchestral conducting at the Estonian Academy of Music, and received further training at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In spring 2008, Risto Joost graduated from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm majoring in orchestral conducting with Prof Jorma Panula.
